Life & Workplace Coaching
Conflict Coaching
Sometimes, not everyone involved in a conflict wants to participate in a mediated or facilitated discussion. That should not deter others who may be looking to resolve specific issues or open dialogue about pending issues. In these situations, we recommend conflict coaching. Conflict coaches help clients identify their interests and develop strategies to speak with others involved in a conflict to work toward mutually beneficial solutions.
Life Coaching
Whether you are in high school, your second year of college, just entering the job market, mid-career or even deeply into your career, may of us often feel that we are not moving in the right direction. Sometimes you may even feel stuck in neutral moving through your job without passion or true direction. A life coach can really help you obtain a more fulfilling life track.
Life coaching is a confidential process that frees you to explore where you are now and where you might like to go without pressure and with the help of someone interested in you and trained in offering resources and showing you how to navigate barriers that may be obstructing the path. It offers you the opportunity to open up and identify freely your interests while a coach helps pinpoint what kinds of environments may best suit you and how to move toward them. This is not therapy but a goal oriented process that looks ahead and works to empower you to see the future you really want. We are there to strategize with you and use our training and resources to help you along your way.
Coaching in the Workplace
Managers and Human Resource Specialists are often called upon to intervene in a conflict between employees. This can be problematic on many levels and settling the dispute in a way that is perceived as fair by all can be difficult. These situations are usually best addressed through facilitation; however, if facilitation is inappropriate for some reason, e.g. a particular employee continues to have problems with other employees yet is an incredible producer for the business, conflict coaching can help. We provide strategies to individuals to help them approach a co-worker and work towards resolution. We can also help certain personalities learn how to function and communicate in a team-oriented practice and to be able to “lead” in a manner which encourages work productivity rather than discourages it. Coaching helps clients think through the situation to clearly identify what’s important to them and to develop strategies to work successfully with other parties.
